[Oct. 14, 2025, Beijing] During the 21st China International Fire Technology & Equipment Expo, global leader in applied science UL Solutions formally presented Shenzhen ProSense Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereafter, "ProSense") with UL 2075 certifications for two flagship products: a button-type electrochemical
Achieving UL 2075 certification represents a historic milestone in the gas sensor industry. ProSense is the first company in China—and among the first globally— to attain UL 2075 certification for both electrochemical hydrogen and carbon monoxide sensors.
The certification ceremony was attended by senior executives and technical leaders from both organizations:
•Mr. David Wu, Global Vice President and General Manager for Mainland China & Hong Kong, UL Solutions
•Mr. Jack Xu, Asia-Pacific General Manager of Built Environment, UL Solutions
•Mr. Matthew Wright, Global Product Manager of Built Environment, UL Solutions
•Mr. Chris Li, China Sales Manager of Built Environment, UL Solutions
•Ms. Zhao Li, General Manager & Chief Engineer, ProSense
On behalf of UL Solutions, Mr. Wu presented the official certification documents and license to Ms. Zhao, acknowledging ProSense's exemplary performance in gas sensing innovation and product reliability.
"UL certification signifies more than compliance with global safety standards—it confirms a company’s end-to-end excellence in R&D, quality assurance, and global strategy. We are committed to innovating and delivering safer, more dependable gas-detection solutions for the energy-storage and new-energy sectors. With this achievement, ProSense aims to contribute engineering and ingenuity that meaningfully advance global safety."

Industry Overview & Technological Breakthrough
Historically, energy storage systems have depended heavily on premium global sensor technologies. Yet limitations in their design architectures and reliance on proprietary catalytic materials often restrict performance under demanding storage-environment conditions. Such sensors tend to suffer from poisoning, interference, or degradation—consequences that translate into high maintenance costs and increased system risk.
To overcome these limitations, ProSense has launched next-generation sensors that bridge a critical technological gap in thermal runaway safety monitoring. By achieving breakthroughs in the domestic development of key components, these sensors provide substantially improved reliability, stability, and safety assurance for energy storage deployments.
The two UL 2075-certified products form the foundation for thermal-runaway safety in energy storage systems:
-
Button-type electrochemical hydrogen sensor (Model: FC-H2-20000): Engineered for exceptional sensitivity and long-term stability, this sensor successfully passed the full spectrum of UL 2075 test protocols— making it the world’s first electrochemical hydrogen sensor to obtain this certification. It meets rigorous standards for resistance to poisoning, interference suppression, and performance across broad temperature

-
Button-type electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor (Model: FC-CO-5000): Featuring an all-solid-state architecture and recognized as the smallest UL-certified CO sensor globally, it empowers energy storage systems with precise leak detection capability.

These dual certifications not only demonstrate ProSense's deep technical expertise in miniaturization, durability, and interference resilience, but also establish a dual-layer safety envelope for renewable energy storage systems— raising the bar for industry safety standards
Authoritative Validation & Brand Credibility
Industry Impact & Strategic Value
Securing UL 2075 certification is not merely a corporate milestone—it marks a strategic inflection point for the broader new-energy ecosystem:
-
Technology Leadership: Surpassing legacy international solutions and accelerating domestic advancement in state-of-the-art gas sensor capabilities.
-
Precision Safety: Engineered for energy storage scenarios, delivering responsive, reliable, and standard-compliant leak detection solutions.
-
Standards Benchmarking: Establishing UL certification as a quality baseline to drive domestic monitoring devices toward elevated safety thresholds.
-
Global Competitiveness: Leveraging authoritative accreditation to reinforce the international reputation of ProSense sensor technologies.
Strengthening Industry Resilience
These accomplishments materially bolster the safety infrastructure of the new energy sector by providing foundational technical assurances and scalable solutions to address critical system vulnerabilities.
Ms. Zhao Li, General Manager & Chief Engineer, remarks:
"Achieving UL 2075 certification affirms the strength of our technological vision. We are steadfast in pursuing innovation and delivering safer, more dependable gas detection solutions to the global energy storage and new energy sectors. With this milestone, we look forward to ProSense's engineering and ingenuity making a meaningful contribution to global safety."
