For a 120-inch floor-rising screen with a standard- or long-throw RGB triple-laser projector in a dark or light-controlled room, start with speaker placement. Within SCREEN PRO’s range, compare the 3C floor-rising screen when speakers will not sit behind the screen. Compare the 3W acoustically transparent floor-rising screen when they will.

Screen Material and Floor-Rising Structure Are Separate Choices

“3C” and “3W” identify different screen materials. “Floor-rising” describes the mechanism that raises the screen from its case. Acoustic requirements help determine the material; room dimensions and the installation plan determine whether the finished floor-rising system fits. A suitable fabric alone does not confirm a suitable complete installation.

Choose 3C When Acoustic Transparency Is Not Required

3C has a matte grey, non-acoustically-transparent surface designed to help reduce visible RGB-laser speckle. It is an option to evaluate when speakers sit outside the screen area and you can control room light.

3C is non-ALR. If side windows or room lights noticeably wash out the image, improve light control and reassess the material before ordering.

Choose 3W When Speakers Sit Behind the Screen

3W combines woven acoustic transparency with a surface designed to help reduce visible laser speckle. On the floor-rising model, both the viewing area and the lower black section are woven and acoustically transparent.

The solid case and lifting components still matter. Check the position of the left, center and right speakers against those parts and the screen’s movement. Acoustic transparency does not mean sound remains completely unchanged; speaker spacing, room treatment and calibration still need consideration.

Check the Complete 120-Inch Installation

A 120-inch diagonal describes the image, not the overall product width or raised height. Before ordering or cutting furniture, confirm:

  • The exact projector model, throw distance and intended image position.

  • The selected size, aspect ratio and housing color.

  • The complete case dimensions, raised height and moving-part clearances.

  • Power access, cable routing and access for maintenance.

  • Speaker placement, viewing distance and lighting during normal use.

  • The current price, delivery arrangement and import-charge terms for the selected configuration and destination.

Use the drawing for the exact finished screen rather than dimensions from another size or mechanism.

Test Speckle and Brightness Before Committing

Laser speckle varies with the projector, material, content and viewing position. Neither 3C nor 3W should be treated as a universal zero-speckle solution.

SCREEN PRO’s 3C, 3W and TW samples can help compare visible speckle, brightness and texture with your actual projector. They cannot validate full-screen uniformity, the lift mechanism or complete-system acoustics. Read the laser-speckle testing guide for a repeatable comparison.

Confirm Your Configuration

Use 3C as the starting comparison without behind-screen speakers, and 3W when acoustic transparency is needed. Then ask SCREEN PRO to review your setup, including your projector model, target size, room photos, speaker positions and delivery country. Confirm the complete configuration before ordering.
